presented the new 1.8 TFSI engine |

revealed additional information about their new 1.8 liter TFSI engine,
which will give now power of 170 hp, while the maximum torque will
reach 320 Nm at the range between 1,400 and 3,700 rpm. The new aggregate
will be installed first on the renewed Audi A5, which sales will
start in the end of the month. In the coupe version with combination
with manual transmission the car has acceleration from 0-100 km/h
for 7.9 sec and can reach maximum speed of 230 km/h. In the same
time with 4-cylinder TFSI engine has average fuel consumption of
5.7 liters per 100 km and the CO2 emission are 134 g/km. This was
made by Audi engineers with a lot of modifications, which are decreasing
highly the weight of the engine with 3.5 kg to 131.5 kg. The new
1.8 TFSI engine is equipped with last generation system for direct
injection of the fuel. The system is more effective with mixing
of the fuel with the air and increases the injection pressure from
150 to 200 bars with the assistance of second turbine. The engine
is really more environmental and more effective, giving good dynamics

German company Audi pays much more for developing of electric cars
and do not miss any exhibition in the last years, where to show
new intelligent concept. The last modifications of Audi were the
Audi Urban and Audi Urban Spyder, which the company revealed last
days. The cars were created according to the Audi vision for the
city electrical cars from the near future. The size of Audi Urban
is 3,200 mm length, 1,700 mm width and 1,200 mm height. The weight
of the car is not more than 500 kg. In spite of the giant measurements,
the sports cars are for 2 people only and having sports suspension
and 21 inches wheels. The car is really interesting concept for
the development of car design and technologies. Audi Urban is driven
by 2 electric motors, the energy of which is coming from lithium-ion
batteries. The autonomy of the car is maximum 60 km and the maximum
speed is electronically limited to 100 km/h. The car is really good
concept, having acceleration from 0-60 km/h for 6.3 sec...

revealed the new A5 DTM |

 Audi
revealed the new sports car for the DTM championship for the next
season. Early this month the main rivals of the company also presented
their cars, but definitely the most interesting car was left for
the last presentation. Audi decided to substitute the old Audi A4
car with Audi A5, but will keep the old 8-cylinder engine with power
of 460 hp. However the company made some changes to improve dynamics
and acceleration of the car. Over the aggregate definitely will
be made some additional changes, but it will be installed again
in 6 stages transmission, used in Audi A4 DTM. For Audi A5 DTM will
have carbon fiber body, while the side columns will be made from
an innovative blend from carbon, Zylon and Rohacell.From Audi are
planning to present officially A5 DTM on the next large exhibition,
when will be announced all the data over the car with additional
test drives, dynamic characteristics and technology data. Definitely
the first pictures and information for the car were quite interesting
for the fast of high spee...
