The management of Audi officially gave the “green light” for the marketing of the smallest crossover brand – Q1, the company announced and showed a teaser of the model. The decision was taken by the Board of Directors of the German manufacturer. The production of the SUV will be entrusted to the factory in Ingolstadt. The first series of cars coming down the assembly line in the early 2016 release of Q1 is part of Audi’s plan to expand the range of 49 to now 60 models by 2020 then the company goal is to sell 2 million vehicles a year. The new crossover will be built on the platform of the Volkswagen Polo. And its appearance will be in the style of the concept Audi crosslane coupe. The length of Q1 will be about 3800 mm, which is 585 mm less than Q3. The basic version of the model will not have a system of four-wheel drive, and prices will start from 20,000 EUR.
